Liked that the hotel was wonderful relaxing and had genuinely helpful and extremely helpful staff at the Reception Desk. The room was extremely pleasant and recently renovated, included with ironing board and fridge, for instance. The location was unbeatable and lovely for us - near bars and cafes. Being near The Sussex Restaurant was nice, we had dinner there.

I would certainly return to the Mespil Hotel, the location was great, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely.
I stayed in 1 of the apartments which was very spacious but was a bit of a walk from the bar/ reception/restaurant area.

Reasonably priced place, had a very nice stay for my short business trip. The staff was superfriendly, provided an early check-in and a late check-out. The rooms were all spotless and exceptional with all amenities.

I was using the hotel for business trip and it was very good for purpose an excellent location. I would like to come back again for a weekend shopping trip stay and make more use of the facilities restaurant etc. and have time to relax. Staff were friendly and helpful. A very nice athmosphere.
I had a bit of a problem with the booking and charges. I had booked the hotel using a company credit card - I supplied all the details at the booking stage but had to supply the same information at least 3 times before it was actually accepted. At check in I informed the staff again it was a company card - I was asked to send an email to confirm that it should be charged to the company, I sent that email. On checkout I was told it was all fine and that it would be charged to the company. However the next day I got another email and a phone call to tell me there was still a problem and I had to make a call and send another email to confirm the payment details again. I understand the billing system can be complicated but it was just a bit of a stress point in an otherwise very nice stay.

Good location with lots of interesting restaurants and pubs in the local area, easy tro walk to the shopping area but far enough away to be quiet.
The internet service requires registration (why do they need a telephone number ?) and you need to get 24 hour voucher every day from reception.

The mespil was ideal for my weekend - was travelling with my 2 sisters so the triple room was ideal. Only drawback was - would like the beds a little bigger - otherwise all was perfect. Check-in and check-out dealt with in a very efficient manner.

Location near the Grand canal in the South part of city, good view, Starbuks at 1 minute.
Far from Dart station. Crazy system of wifi access - every evening you should take at reception the paper with new password, possibility to use wifi only to one netbook or mobile, and we have two :(

The location was great
No air conditioning, the room was very hot and when you opened the windows you got the noise from the traffic outside. Also a fridge would be nice to keep some water.
